Chopped Chicken Livers Recipe
Ingredients
| Chicken livers | 1 pound | |
| Chicken Fat - 4 tablespoon | ||
| Onions | 2 | |
| Egg Yolks- 3 hard boiled | ||
| Kosher salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Ground black pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Under running water, wash the livers and remove any discolored portions
MAKING
2) In a frying pan, heat 2 tablespoon of the chicken fat
3) Tip in the onion and saute till soft
4) Remove the onions and keep aside
5) Add the livers and fry for 10 minutes
6) In a food chopper or grinder, combine the liver, egg yolks, onion and grind till smooth
7) Check for seasoning
SERVING
8) Serve the liver with some crackers, lavosh or toasted bread or on a bed of lettuce
