Spicy Chop Suey Recipe

| Pork | 1/2 Pound, cubed | |
| 1/2 lb. cubed beef or veal | ||
| Garlic | 2 Clove (5gm), sliced | |
| Onion | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs), diced | |
| Celery | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs), diced | |
| 1/8 tsp. each salt, pepper and paprika | ||
| Soy sauce | 4 Tablespoon | |
| 1 1 lb. can fancy bean sprouts | ||
| Mushrooms | 1 4 Ounce | |
| Water chestnuts | 1 Small | |
| Cornstarch | ||
Directions
Brown meat; simmer in enough water to cover for 15 minutes.
Add next 5 ingredients; simmer until tender, about 45 minutes, adding water to cover.
During last 15 minutes of cooking add bean sprouts, mushrooms, water chestnuts and additional soy sauce.
Thicken with cornstarch like gravy just before serving.
