Ingredients

 
1 lb. chop suey meat (1-inch pieces veal, pork and beef)
 
1 t oil
 
1 envelope onion soup mix
 
2 t soy sauce
 
2 c water
 
2 c celery, sliced on the diagonal 1/4 inch thick
 
1 can (16 oz.) chop suey vegetables
 
2 t cornstarch

Directions

Brown meat in oil.
Add soup mix, soy sauce and water: simmer 30 minutes or until meat is done.
Add celery and vegetables, heat through (Celery should remain crunchy and green).
Dissolve cornstarch in 1/4 C water, stir into chop suey.
Heat and stir until mixture thickens and becomes clear.
