Condensed milk - 1 tin (400 gms)
Baking powder - 2 tsps
Butter - 120 gms
Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
Flour - 2 cups
Soda bicarbonate - 1/2 tsp
Water - 1 cup
Cocoa - 50 gms
Salt - a pinch
For Chocolate Cream
Butter - 200 gms
Cocoa - 5 tsps
Castor sugar - 100 gms
Cold water - 8 tsps
Directions
GETTING READY
1 Preheat the oven to 350F.
2 Grease a 15 cm square cake tin and dust with flour.
MAKING
3 In a bowl, sift together the dry ingredients.
4 In a separate bowl, beat the milk, melted butter, water, and vanilla essence.
5 Gradually add in the sifted dry ingredients.
6 Pour the mixture in the prepared baking tin.
7 Bake in a moderate oven for 35 minutes or till it is done.
8 Remove from the oven and allow to cool.
9 Cut two slices from the cake for the crumbs.
10 For the cream, in a bowl, cream the butter.
11 Add in cocoa, castor sugar and water and beat until smooth and creamy.
12 Cut the cake horizontally in to two layers.
13 Use the prepared cream for the layers, sides and top of the cake.
14 Coat the sides of the cake with chocolate cake crumbs.
