Decadent Chocolate Truffles Recipe Video

Decadent chocolate truffles are a chocoholic’s dream. These sinfully indulgent chocolate balls can be prepared and served for any special occasion. Stacy Hawkins makes these chocolate truffles for Valentine’s Day.

Ingredients

 
1 pt heavy cream
 
1/3 cup sugar
 
¾ stick butter
 
Pinch of salt
 
2 lbs. high quality chocolate (in chips or chunks form)
 
1 tbsp vanilla or flavored liquor
 
½ cup cocoa powder

Directions

In a large sauce pan, combine cream, sugar and butter.
Bring to a boil.
Meanwhile add chocolate to a large bowl.
When the cream mixture has come to a boil, remove from heat.
Add salt and vanilla or liquor.
Pour over chocolate.
Stir gently but constantly until mixture combines and becomes one solid color.
Place bowl in refrigerator and refrigerate overnight.
Place the cocoa in a medium sized bowl.
Using a teaspoon scoop out some chocolate mixture and place it on your palm.
Gently roll the chocolate to forma 1 inch ball.
Drop the ball into the cocoa powder and roll to coat.
Repeat the process until all of the chocolate mixture is used.
Add additional cocoa powder if necessary.
Enjoy!

This recipe makes around 30, 1 inch chocolate truffles.
