Simple Chocolate Mousse Recipe Video

5 oz high quality chocolate
2 tbsp butter
1 cup heavy whipping cream
3 large eggs, separated
1 tbsp white sugar
Directions
Blend the whipped cream by hand by a mixer till soft peaks form.
Separate eggs reserving whites and yolks.
Whip whites, till soft peaks appear.
Sprinkle sugar over the whites and continue whipping until firm. Set aside.
In a medium sauce pan melt chocolate and butter over medium heat, gently stirring until totally melted.
Set chocolate aside to let it cool slightly.
When cool, stir in the egg yolks into the chocolate making sure that they are incorporated well.
Fold half of the whipped cream and ½ of the egg whites into the chocolate mixture.
Once combined, fold in the remaining cream and egg whites.
Continue folding, until the mixture is a consistent color.
Pour into glasses or serving bowls and refrigerate until ready to serve.
This recipe makes 8 serving of chocolate mousse. You can vary the proportion of the ingredients, if preparing for a smaller or larger party.
