Couple of Tips for you with this recipe. use a long serrated knife, cut along the lines scored in the fudge to get a smooth even cut place one hand of the knife handle and the other on the top of the blade then press down evenly until cut through. make sure you leave enough foil extending over the edges that way you can just lift the foil and it pulls the block of fudge right up use a cutting board

Recipe Story

This is a classic version of a fudge recipe it is absolutely delightful. I make about 3 pans of this around Christmas time and give as presents to my customers, it is something they look forward too. Now myself I never make it with the walnuts too many people are allergic to nuts now adays, but I included it in the recipe.

Ingredients

12 oz. semisweet chocolate chips

11.5 oz milk chocolate chips

7 oz. marshmallow creme

1 1/2 C. chopped walnuts (may be omitted if wanted)

2 tsp. vanilla

4 C. Sugar

12 oz. evaporated skimmed milk

2 Tb. butter

Directions

Line a 13x9x2 baking pan with foil, extend the foil over the edges of the pan. Butter the foil in the pan. Set aside
In large bowl mix semisweet chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips, marshmellow creme, walnuts, and vanilla.
In a heavy large saucepan stir together sugar, milk and butter. Bring to a boil over med. heat stir constantly with a wooden spoon to dissolve sugar. Lower the heat to low continue to stir and boil for 12 mins. remove from heat
Pour the hot mixture into the chocolate bowl that is waiting for you. Stir until the chocolate is melted and mixture is creamy and well combined. Now quickly pour the mixture into your pan. While the fudge is warm score 1 in squares with the tip of your knife.
When fudge is firm lift it out of pan cut into squares. Cover tightly and refrigerate makes about 117 pieces when all is said and done.

Thanks for posting this easy chocolate fudge recipe Cannulis . White chocolate fudge is my favorite chocolate fudge. I wonder if your restaurant serves it. I have been to Plymouth Meeting many times as one of buddy lives there. I know that Phoenixville is rather close form there. We might stop by at your restaurant one fine day. Petal I was confused between Chocolate fudge and chocolate fudge cake for quite a while. Food is so vast; the more you learn the more you realize your limited knowledge.

Chocolate fudge...yumm. For the longest time I didnt know the difference between fudge and brownie (gee!!). Looks delicious. This aint too bad health wise, if I found a substitute for butter (any ideas?). Non fat milk, semi sweet chocolate and margarine (?) for a low fat version ..I will try and post the results of my experimentation :-)
