Ingredients

 
1 8-oz. package cream cheese
 
1 egg
 
Sugar
 
1 tsp. salt
 
2 tbsp. vanilla
 
1 sm. Package chocolate chips
 
1 1/2 c. flour
 
1 tsp. soda
 
1/4 c. cocoa
 
1 c. cold water
 
1/3 c. salad oil
 
1 tbsp. vinegar
 
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions

Soften cream cheese.
Combine cream cheese, egg, 1/3 cup sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1 tablespoon vanilla; beat well.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Sift 1 cup sugar, flour, soda, cocoa and remaining salt together; stir in cold water, oil, vinegar and remaining vanilla.
Spoon into 24 greased and floured muffin cups; top with.spoonfuls of cream cheese mixture.
Blend nuts and 2 teaspoons sugar; sprinkle over tops.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
