Chocolate Covered Pear Layer Recipe
Ingredients
10 canned pear halves, drained
1 (9 inch) Basic Yellow Cake layer
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/4 cup hot water
1/4 cup butter
1 12 ounce package chocolate chips
1 can pressurized whipped topping
Directions
Slice each pear half into 3 equal slices.
Arrange in circle around outer edge of cake layer.
Combine corn syrup, hot water, and butter in saucepan; heat to boiling.
Remove from heat.
Stir in chocolate chips until well blended.
Cool to warm.
Cover cake with warm glaze.
Let glaze set before decorating with whipped topping, as illustrated.
