Directions

Cream the butter, cream cheese and 1 1/4 cups of the sugar in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs and vanilla.
Mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Add to the butter mixture alternately with the milk, mixing well after each addition.
Stir in the chocolate chips.
Spoon into a greased 9 inch springform pan.
Sprinkle a mixture of the pecans, cinnamon and remaining 1/4 cup sugar over the batter.
Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 55 minutes or until the coffee cake tests done.
Remove to a wire rack.
Run a knife carefully around the edge of the cake and remove the side of the pan.
Cool completely before cutting.
