In a large bowl, cream together margarine and sugar.
Add egg and vanilla.
Stir in flour, baking powder and salt, mixing until well blended.
Add banana mixture and fold in chocolate chips.
Spoon batter into prepared muffin tin, filling cups three-quarters full.
Bake in preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
