Chocolate Bavarian Pie Recipe

Cook over hot water until chocolate is melted and gelatin is completely dissolved.
Blend well with egg beater.
Gradually add to egg yolks, stirring constantly.
Return mixture to double boiler and cook 3 minutes longer, stirring constantly.
Cool about 10 minutes.
Beat egg whites until foamy.
Add remaining 1/3 cup sugar gradually and continue beating until mixture stands in stiff peaks.
Fold in chocolate mixture gradually, blending well.
Add vanilla and coconut.
Spoon into pie shell.
Chill about 2 1/2 hours or until firm.

60) and additional coconut, if desired.
