Chocolate Bar-Ice Cream Dessert Recipe
No wonder chocolate is reffered to as the Food of the Gods, it is indeed an irresistible wonder. This chocolate bar-ice cream dessert is a real treat for a chocoholic like me
Ingredients
10 almond chocolate bars
1 c. margarine
1 c. nutmeats
5 c. crushed vanilla wafers
6 eggs, separated
1 c. powdered sugar
1/2 gal. ice cream, softened
Chocolate
Directions
Melt chocolate bars and margarine in saucepan.
Cool.
Beat egg yolks until thick and lemony.
Combine chocolate mixture with egg yolks.
Simmer, stirring constantly, until smooth and thickened.
Add pow- dered sugar and nuts; cool.
Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
Combine egg whites with chocolate mix- ture.
Line 17 x 11 x 2-inch pan with 4 cups vanilla wafer crumbs.
Cover with ice cream; pour on chocolate mixture.
Cut through several places to mix.
Sprinkle top with remaining wafer crumbs.
Freeze.
