Chocolate Angel Layers Recipe

Chocolate angel layer a cocoa angel cake frosted with milk chocolate frosting. The cake itself is made with cocoa and coffee along with angel cake mix. The chocolate angel layer is a rich and delicious cake to indulge in on special ocassions.

Prepare 1 package angel-cake mix sifting 1/4 cup cocoa (regular type, dry) and 1 tablespoon instant coffee with the flour mixture.
Bake in ungreased 10 inch tube pan according to package directions.
Cut cooled cake crosswise in 3 even layers.
Spread Milk chocolate Frosting between layers and on sides and top.
Chill for 45 minutes or until the frosting is set.
Milk chocolate Frosting: In top of double boiler, place one 6 ounce package semisweet chocolate pieces or six 1 ounce squares semisweet chocolate, 1/4 pound (16) marshmallows, and 1/2 cup milk.
Heat over simmering water till blended, stirring occasionally.
Chill.
Stir till smooth.
Whip 1 cup heavy cream; fold in
