Chocolate Almond Chips Recipe
|Butter||1 Cup (16 tbs), softened (or margarine)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Almond extract||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Roasted diced almonds||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Semisweet cooking chocolate||2 Ounce, melted|

Grease baking pan, 13x9x2 inches.
Mix all ingredients except chocolate; beat on lowest speed of mixer or by hand until dough forms.
Spread in pan.
Bake until golden brown, 35 to 40 minutes.
Drizzle with chocolate.
Cool slightly; cut into 1 inch squares.
(Can be served immediately.) Wrap, label and freeze.
20 minutes before serving, remove Chocolate Almond Chips from freezer and unwrap.
Thaw uncovered at room temperature.
