 50 g plain chocolate, broken into pieces
 Water50 Milliliter
 Unsalted butter75 Gram
 Eggs2
 Sugar90 Gram
 Plain flour175 Gram
 2 x 5 ml spoons baking powder
 Milk120 Milliliter
 75 g chopped walnuts oil
 Chocolate Ice Cream or whipped cream, to serve

Directions

Stir the chocolate pieces and water together in a saucepan over a low heat, until the chocolate melts and the mixture forms a paste.
Off the heat, beat in the butter, then the eggs and finally the sugar.
Sift the flour and baking powder together on to a sheet of greaseproof paper and add alternately with the milk.
Stir in the walnuts.
Pour the batter into a hot oiled waffle iron.
Bring the cover down and cook for 2-3 minutes either side.
Serve the waffles hot with chocolate ice cream or whipped cream.
