Chocolate Waffles Recipe
Ingredients
| 50 g plain chocolate, broken into pieces | ||
| Water | 50 Milliliter | |
| Unsalted butter | 75 Gram | |
| Eggs | 2 | |
| Sugar | 90 Gram | |
| Plain flour | 175 Gram | |
| 2 x 5 ml spoons baking powder | ||
| Milk | 120 Milliliter | |
| 75 g chopped walnuts oil | ||
| Chocolate Ice Cream or whipped cream, to serve | ||
Directions
Stir the chocolate pieces and water together in a saucepan over a low heat, until the chocolate melts and the mixture forms a paste.
Off the heat, beat in the butter, then the eggs and finally the sugar.
Sift the flour and baking powder together on to a sheet of greaseproof paper and add alternately with the milk.
Stir in the walnuts.
Pour the batter into a hot oiled waffle iron.
Bring the cover down and cook for 2-3 minutes either side.
Serve the waffles hot with chocolate ice cream or whipped cream.
