Chocolate Tart Filling Recipe
Ingredients
1/4 cup sugar
3 pkgs. acesulfame-K or saccharin
2 tsp cocoa powder, unsweetened
3 tsp cornstarch l 3/4 cup skim milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp creme de cacao liqueur (optional)
Directions
Combine the sugar, sugar substitute, cocoa powder, and cornstarch in a medium saucepan.
Add a small amount of the milk.
Stir with a wire whisk until the mixture is evenly moistened.
Add the remainder of the milk, the vanilla extract, and the creme de cacao, if desired.
Cook, stirring constantly until filling is thick and you can see whisk marks as you stir.
Cool before pouring into tart shell.
