Chocolate Sauce Pudding Recipe
Ingredients
| 50 g. / 2 oz. butter | ||
| 75 ml. / 3 fl. oz. milk | ||
| 5 ml. / 1 teaspoon vanilla essence | ||
| 125 g. / 4 oz. self-raising flour | ||
| 175 g. / 6 oz. castor sugar | ||
| 15 ml. / 1 tablespoon cocoa powder | ||
| 425 ml. / 15 fl. oz. hot water | ||
| 125 g. / 4 oz. brown sugar | ||
| 15 ml. / 1 tablespoon cocoa powder | ||
Directions
Put the butter and milk in a saucepan and heat until the butter has melted.
Stir in the vanilla.
Sift the flour, sugar and cocoa into a bowl, then beat in the milk mixture.
Pour into a deep, well-greased 1 1/4 ./ 2 pint ovenproof dish.
Combine the topping ingredients and sprinkle over the mixture, then carefully pour over the hot water.
Put into the oven preheated to moderate (180°C/350°F or Gas Mark 4) and bake for 45 minutes.
