Chocolate Sauce Recipe
Chocolate Sauce! My mouth is already watering. I love Chocolate Sauce on anything and everything therefore it was very important for me to make good quality Chocolate Sauce! Here is my brilliant Chocolate Sauce recipe that I have been following for years!
Ingredients
1/4 lb semi sweet chocolate, broken into squares
2 tablespoons butter
2/3 cup water or milk
1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
Directions
1 Put the chocolate, butter and water or milk into a 1 litre/ 1 3/4 pint (4 1/2 cup) jug and microwave on power 7 for 3 1/2 minutes.
2 Put the cornflour (cornstarch) in a 1.2 litre/2pint (5 cup) bowl and mix to a smooth paste with a little water.
3 Pour the hot chocolate mixture onto the cornflour (cornstarch), stirring all the time.
4 Return to the microwave on full power for 1 minute before serving. The sauce can be served hot or cold over fruit, sponge puddings or ice cream.
