Ingredients
3 ounces (3 squares) unsweetened chocolate
1/4 cup water
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/8 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup half-and-half
1/8 teaspoon peppermint extract
Directions
1. Put chocolate and water into a 2-quart glass measuring pitcher. Cook uncovered in microwave oven 2 1/2 minutes at High, or until chocolate melts; stir to blend.
2. Add sugar, corn syrup and salt to chocolate mixture; stir well. Cook uncovered in microwave oven 4 minutes at High; stir every minute.
