Chocolate Nut Triangles Recipe

|Firmly packed brown sugar||2 1⁄4 Cup (36 tbs)|

|Baking powder||2 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Chopped nuts||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Semisweet chocolate pieces||6 Ounce (1 Package / 1 Cup)|
|Maple frosting||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Adjust Quantity As Needed)|
|Chocolate frosting||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Adjust Quantity As Needed)|
|Candied cherries||2 Tablespoon|

Line 15 1/2 X 10 1/2 X 1-inch jelly roll pan with foil.
Melt shortening in large saucepan.
Stir in brown sugar; mix well.
Remove from heat; cool 10 minutes.
Beat in eggs, one at a time.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together; stir into sugar mixture.
Stir in nuts and chocolate pieces.
Spread in prepared pan.
Bake 25-30 minutes.
Cool 10 minutes in pan; invert on board.
Frost half with Maple Frosting and half with Chocolate Frosting.
With electric knife, trim edges and cut into 2-inch squares.
Cut each square diagonally to form triangles.
Decorate with nuts and candied cherries.
