Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/3 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon milk
2 (1-ounce) squares melted chocolate
Directions
Combine dry ingredients: stir in nuts.
Cream butter: gradually add sugars and cream well.
Add egg.
Vanilla extract, milk and melted chocolate.
Beat well.
Divide dough into two parts.
Shape into bars 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
Wrap and seal in moisture-proof material.
Either store in refrigerator until thoroughly chilled, or freeze.
To bake, cut into slices 1/8 Inch thick.
Place on ungreased cookie sheets and bake at 425° for 5 to 7 minutes.
