Ingredients
1/4 cup shortening
1 tsp granulated brown sugar replacement
1 egg
1 oz. sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp walnuts, finely ground
2 tsp sour milk
1 tsp water
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
Dash salt
Directions
Cream together shortening and brown sugar replacement.
Add egg; beat well.
Add melted chocolate, vanilla, walnuts, sour milk and water; beat to mix thoroughly.
Add flour, baking powder and salt, and beat to blend.
Shape into a roll, 1 1/2 in. (3.75 cm) in diameter.
Wrap in plastic wrap or waxed paper.
Refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight.
Cut into 1/4 in. (6 mm) thick slices and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 8 to 10 minutes.
