1 cup vegetable shortening, softened
 
1/2 cup granulated brown sugar replacement
 
2 eggs, well beaten
 
1 tsp vanilla extract
 
3 tsp water
 
3 1/2 cup flour
 
1 tsp salt
 
2 tsp bakingpowder
 
1 cup skim milk
 
3 oz. baking chocolate, melted
 
1 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped

Directions

Cream shortening and sugar together.
Add eggs, vanilla extract and water.
Sift flour, salt and baking powder together and add alternately with the milk to the creamed mixture.
Add melted chocolate and walnuts.
Drop from a teaspoon onto a greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8 to 10 minutes.
