Chocolate Marshmallow Frosting Recipe
Ingredients
| Sugar | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Water | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking Chocolate square | 2 , grated | |
| 12 soft marshmallows cut in small pieces | ||
| Cream of tartar | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Egg whites | 2 | |
| Salt | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
Directions
1. Combine the sugar and water in a saucepan and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Then cook to the soft ball stage, 238° F., or the mixture forms a soft ball when a little is dropped from a spoon into a cup of cold water.
2. Remove from the heat and immediately stir in the grated chocolate and the marshmallows. Let stand about 3 minutes. Add the cream of tartar.
3. Beat the egg whites and salt stiff.
4. Gradually pour the chocolate syrup in a thin stream over them and beat until the consistency to spread.
