Ingredients
4 cups water
1 1/2 cups sugar
10 fresh pears, peeled, cored, halved lengthwise
1/2 cup marmalade
1 9 inch pie crust, baked
10 oz semisweeet dark chocolate
2 tbsp butter
1/2 cup heavy cream
Directions
In a saucepan,over high heat, bring to a boil water and sugar.
Add pears.
Over low heat, cook 20 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Cover.
Let stand 1 hour.
Spread marmalade into crust.
Arrange concentric circles of pears over marmalade.
In a double boiler, melt chocolate.
Fold in butter and cream.
Warm a little.
Drizzle over pears.
Add pears.
