Chocolate Dream Squares Recipe

1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon cocoa
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup flaked coconut
1/2 cup chopped pecans
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
Custard filling
1 (6 ounce) package semisweet chocolate morsels
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
Directions
Combine first 4 ingredients in top of a double boiler; bring water to a boil.
Reduce heat to low; cook until mixture thickens, stirring constandy.
Remove from heat Add vanilla, coconut, pecans, and cracker crumbs; mix well.
Press mixture into a 9-inch square pan; chill 15 minutes.
Spread custard filling over chocolate.
Chill 30 minutes or until custard mixture becomes firm.
Combine chocolate morsels and butter in a small saucepan; cook over low heat, stirring until chocolate melts.
Spread over custard filling.
Cool and cut into 1 1/2 inch squares.
Cover and store in refrigerator.
