Chocolate Date Cake Recipe
Ingredients
| Boiling water | 1 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Dates | 1/2 pound, snipped | |
| package | 1 | |
| Chocolate | 1 6 Ounce | |
| California walnuts | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped |
Directions
Pour water over dates; cool.
Prepare cake mix following package directions, substituting date mixture for liquid.
Turn into greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan.
Top with chocolate and nuts.
Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
