Chocolate Chip Cake Recipe
This Chocolate Chip Cake is an addiction. I can't wait till dessert to dig into chunks of this chocolacious treat. I have it throughout the day. Try this crunchy Chocolate Chip Cake and let me know if you like it !
Ingredients
1 cup dates, cut up
1 cup hot water
1 tsp. baking soda
1 cup sugar
1 cup butter
2 eggs, beaten
1 3/4 cups flour
1 Tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. chocolate chips, divided
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Directions
Add hot water to dates and baking soda; let stand while preparing rest of cake.
Cream butter and sugar well.
Add eggs, date mixture and dry ingredients which have been sifted together.
Add vanilla and 1/2 cup chocolate chips.
Pour into greased 9x13 pan and sprinkle rest of chocolate chips and 1/2 cup nuts over top.
Bake 40 minutes at 350°.
