Chocolate Chip And Walnut Cheesecake Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 1/2 cups chocolate cake crumbs | ||
| Cream cheese | 1 pound, softened | |
| Sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Vanilla | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Eggs | 3 | |
| Sour cream | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 12 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped | ||
| 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips | ||
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°.
Evenly sprinkle cake crumbs over the bottom of a 9-inch spring form pan.
Press crumbs down lightly.
In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, beat together cream cheese, sugar and vanilla until smooth and fluffy.
Stir in eggs and sour cream.
Fold in walnuts and chocolate chips.
Pour into prepared pan.
Bake at 375° for 35 minutes.
Remove from oven and refrigerate overnight before cutting.
Serve with a dollop of freshly whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup.
Variations: Mint Chocolate Chip Cheesecake: Substitute mint chocolate chips for the semi-sweet chocolate chips and omit the walnuts.
Lemon Chocolate Chip Cheesecake: Omit walnuts and add the grated rind of one lemon.
