 1 cup plus 2 tbs sifted pastry flour
 Sugar1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Baking powder1 1/2 Teaspoon
 Salt1/2 Teaspoon
 Cooking oil1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Egg yolks2
 1/4 cup plus 2 tbs cold water
 Vanilla1 Teaspoon
 Egg whites4
 Cream of tartar1/4 Teaspoon
 Semi-sweet chocolate2 Ounce, grated

Directions

Sift the first four ingredients into a bowl.
Make a well in the centre and add oil, egg yolks, water and vanilla.
Beat until smooth.
Beat egg whites and cream of tartar together until very stiff peaks form.
Stir chocolate into the batter, then fold into egg-white meringue.
Bake in an ungreased small angel-cake pan at 325F for 65 minutes.
