Choco Sugar Wafers Recipe
First of all let me thank my neighbor for sharing this excellent choco sugar wafers recipe. I tried this recipe for choco sugar wafers the other day and was totally bowled over. It is generally eaten as a tasty dessert. Don't rob yourself of the pleasure of having choco sugar wafers. Go and prepare it immediately.
Ingredients
2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup butter or margarine
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup milk
Granulated sugar
Walnut halves
Directions
1. Measure flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda into sifter.
2. Beat butter or margarine and brown sugar until fluffy in medium-size bowl with an electric mixer at high speed; beat in melted chocolate, egg, vanilla and milk. Sift in dry ingredients, a third at a time; blend to make a soft dough. Chill several hours or until firm enough to handle.
3. Roll dough, a heaping teaspoonful at a time, into marble-size balls between palms of hands; roll in granulated sugar in pie plate. Place, 3 inches apart, on ungreased cookie sheets; flatten to 1/4 -inch thickness with bottom of glass. Top each with a walnut half.
4. Bake in moderate oven (350°) 12 minutes, or until firm. Remove carefully from cookie sheets with spatula; cool on wire racks.
