Chive Creamed Corn Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 10-ounce package frozen whole kernel corn | ||
| Onion | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Butter/Margarine | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Skim milk | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cornstarch | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Dried marjoram | 1/4 Teaspoon, crushed | |
| 1 ounce Neufchdtel cheese | ||
| Snipped chives | 1 Tablespoon | |
Directions
Cook corn according to package directions; drain well.
In medium saucepan cook onion in butter till tender.
In screw-top jar combine skim milk, cornstarch, marjoram, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and dash pepper; cover and shake well.
Add to onion.
Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly.
Cook and stir 1 to 2 minutes more.
Stir in cheese and chives till cheese is blended.
Stir corn into cheese mixture; heat through
