Chinese Pepper Steak Recipe
Ingredients
| Sirloin steak | 1 1⁄2 Pound (1 Inch Thick) | |
| Vegetable oil | 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5 gm), crushed | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Ginger | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Green peppers | 3 Large, sliced | |
| Onions | 2 Large, thinly sliced | |
| Soy sauce | 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Beef bouillon | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
| Water chestnuts | 1 Cup (16 tbs), sliced thin | |
| Cornstarch | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Cold water | 14 Cup (224 tbs) | |
| Green onions | 4 , cut in 1 in. pieces |

Directions
Heat oil in skillet; add garlic, salt, ginger and pepper.
Saute until garlic is golden.
Add steak; brown and remove.
Add green peppers and onions; cook 3 minutes.
Return beef to pan; add soy sauce, sugar, bouillon, water chestnuts, cornstarch dissolved in cold water and green onions.
Simmer about 3 minutes or until sauce thickens.
Serve over hot rice.
