Chinese Pepper Steak Recipe

The chinese pepper steak is prepared with a sirloin steak. Cooked with sauteed garlic and veggies like onions and green peppers, the chinese pepper steak is simmered in a pan with soy sauce, bouillon and water chestnuts and is best served with jasmine rice.

Directions

Cut meat into 1/8-inch thick slices.
Heat oil in skillet; add garlic, salt, ginger and pepper.
Saute until garlic is golden.
Add steak; brown and remove.
Add green peppers and onions; cook 3 minutes.
Return beef to pan; add soy sauce, sugar, bouillon, water chestnuts, cornstarch dissolved in cold water and green onions.
Simmer about 3 minutes or until sauce thickens.
Serve over hot rice.
