Chinese Egg Recipe
Ingredients
| Hard cooked eggs | 12 | |
| Boiling water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Orange pekoe tea | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Anise seed | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Soy sauce | 4 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1 1⁄2 Tablespoon |
Directions
Shell eggs carefully so whites are not broken.
Pour boiling water over tea; let steep for 5 minutes.
Strain; combine with anise seed, soy sauce and salt.
Add whole eggs; simmer for 1 hour.
Store, covered, in refrigerator.
