Chinese Tomato Beef Recipe
|Lean beef||1 Pound, cut into thin slices|
|Onions||2 Medium, cut into large pieces|
|Green pepper||1 , cut into large pieces|
|Tomatoes||3 , cut into wedges|
|Peanut oil/Salad oil||5 Tablespoon|
|Soy sauce||1 Tablespoon|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm)|

Marinate for 20 mins., turning once.
Heat 2 tbs.of the peanut oil in skillet and add garlic.
Press garlic against sides of pan when browned and dry.
Remove garlic and add the meat and marinade.
Cook for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring frequently.
Remove the meat and the gravy that has formed and set aside.
Heat remaining peanut oil in skillet and add onions, green pepper and cook slightly.
Add the meat, gravy and tomatoes.
Heat until the gravy bubbles, remove and serve at once.
Garnish with parsley or watercress.
