Chinese Tea-Smoked Ribs Recipe
Ingredients
| Light soy sauce | 1/ 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Honey | 1/ 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Garlic powder | 1/ 2 Teaspoon | |
| Red pepper flakes | 1/ 2 Teaspoon | |
| 4 long double-pronged skewers | ||
| 3 1/ 3 to 4 pounds small pork ribs, steamed for 10 minutes | ||
| Black tea leaves | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Dark brown sugar | 1/ 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Canola oil, for brushing skewers and grid | ||
Directions
To prepare brushing sauce, mix together the soy sauce, honey, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl.
Brush ribs with sauce and place them in a shallow pan.
Cover loosely and refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours.
Brush and turn twice.
Thread skewer through each section of ribs; place over grid and cover.
Smoke ribs for about 1 hour, turning twice.
The ribs will be smoked yet tender.
