Chinese Style Pork Recipe

3 tablespoons oil
 
1/2 cup chopped onion
 
1 1/2 cups roast pork, cut into thin small strips
 
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
 
1/2 cup thinly sliced celery
 
1/2 cup sliced raw mushrooms
 
1 can bean sprouts, drained
 
2 tablespoons cornstarch
 
1/4 teaspoon sugar
 
1/4 teaspoon salt
 
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
 
1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
 
2 tablespoons water
 
Chinese noodles

Directions

1. In a skillet heat the oil, add the onion and cook until transparent. Add the pork, chicken broth, celery, mushrooms and bean sprouts and simmer five minutes.
2. Blend the cornstarch, sugar, salt, pepper, soy sauce and water. Add to the simmering mixture and cook, stirring, until thickened. Correct the seasonings and serve over crisp Chinese noodles
