Chinese Spinach Recipe
Ingredients
1 pound fresh spinach
2 tablespoons cooking oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1 5 ounce can water chestnuts
Directions
Wash spinach and pat dry.
Remove stems and cut into 1 inch pieces.
Tear leaves into bite size pieces.
In large saucepan simmer spinach in small amount of water for 3 minutes.
Drain thoroughly.
In skillet heat oil, soy, and sugar; add spinach and onion.
Cook, tossing till spinach is well coated, 2 to 3 minutes.
Stir in water chestnuts.
