Directions

1. In 1-quart saucepan over medium heat, in hot salad oil, cook green onions until tender and lightly browned, about 5 minutes.
2. Stir in brown sugar, soy sauce, sherry, cornstarch, ginger, and salt. Cook over medium-high heat until mixture boils and thickens slightly; cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Refrigerate sauce if not using right away.
3. Use sauce to brush on pork spareribs, pork chops, or chicken or turkey parts during cooking.
