Chinese Mapo Tofu Recipe Video

Ingredients

 
Green onion- 2
 
Corn starch - 2 tablespoon
 
Black bean paste - 2 tablespoon
 
Garlic cloves - 2, chopped
 
Oyster Sauce - 2 tablespoon
 
Sambal hot sauce - 1-2 tablespoon
 
Ground pork - 1 pound
 
Medium firm tofu - 19 ounce
 
Light Soy sauce- 2 tablespoon
 
Dark soy sauce- 2 tablespoon

Directions

GETTING READY
1.Drain the tofu and cut it in squares using a pairing knife.

MAKING
2.Heat the wok at medium high temperature.
3.Coat it with cooking oil.
4.Add chopped garlic cloves.
5.Take ground pork and add to the wok after lowering the heat.
6.Stir with spatula and brown the pork.
7.Put the lid on for couple of minutes.
8.Add tofu and mix it a little bit.
9.Season the ingredients by adding 3 pinches salt, sprinkle of white pepper.
10.Toss lightly.
11.With a spoon, add 2 tablespoon of black bean garlic paste.
12.Add sambal hot sauce.
In a bowl, take cornstarch and add a little bit of water.
13.Mix well and add to the skillet.
14.Put soy sauce and lower the heat until the mixture bubbles.
15.Let the mixture boil.
16.Put dark soy sauce and also add oyster sauce.
17.Check for seasonings.

SERVING
18.Garnish with green onions and serve hot!
