Chinese Fried Rice Recipe
Ingredients
| 1-1/2 cups Brand Rice | ||
| Water | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Vegetable oil | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Eggs | 2 , beaten | |
| 1 /2 cup sliced green onions, with tops | ||
| 1/2 cup cooked pork, chicken or beef, cut in short julienne strips | ||
| 1/4 cup cooked ham, cut in short julienne strips | ||
| Soy sauce | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Sugar | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 1/4 teaspoon monosodium glutamate, if desired | ||
Directions
Cook rice with water and 1-1/2 teaspoon salt according to package directions, omitting butter; chill thoroughly.
Heat 1/2 of the oil in a large skillet.
Add eggs.
Cook 1 minute, stirring slightly.
Remove from pan.
Spread on a flat plate in a thin layer and cool.
Cut into thin strips.
Add remaining oil to skillet and heat.
Add onions and meat.
Cook and stir just until heated.
Add cold rice; stir well to coat rice with oil.
Stir in eggs and remaining ingredients; heat thoroughly.
