Chinese Five-Spice Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
| Fryer chicken | 4 pound, cut into pieces | |
| Soy sauce | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Onion | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), crushed | |
| Minced ginger | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Cinnamon | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 1/4 teaspoon each ground allspice and crushed anise seed | ||
| Ground cloves | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Black pepper | 1 Dash | |
Directions
Marinate the chicken pieces in the soy sauce mixed with the onion, garlic, and ginger for 3 to 4 hours.
Drain and arrange chicken in a shallow greased baking pan.
Mix remaining ingredients, sprinkle over chicken, and bake in a 325° oven about 1 hour, or until tender, turning once.
