Chinese Chicken Recipe
Chinese chicken is a broth cooked chicken recipe prepared with added vegetables. Spiced with ginger, garlic and flavored with soy sauce, chinese chicken is loaded with oriental flavors and unique asian veggies. Served with rice, it makes a filling and satifying meal.
Ingredients
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
6 chicken breast halves, skinned and boned
2 (4.5 ounce) jars sliced mushrooms,undrained
1 cup canned diluted beef broth
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons instant minced onion
1/8 teaspoon curry powder
Pinch of ground ginger
2 stalks celery, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1 (8 ounce) can bamboo shoots,drained
1 medium size green pepper, diced
1/2 cup fresh bean sprouts
Hot cooked rice
Directions
Saute garlic in hot oil in a large skillet 1 minute.
Add chicken, and cook until browned.
Combine mushrooms and next 5 ingredients; pour over chicken.
Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 35 minutes.
Add remaining ingredients except rice; cook, uncovered, 5 to 7 minutes or until vegetables are crisp tender.
