Chinese Beef And Green Beans Recipe
Ingredients
| 4 ounces flank steak, cut crosswise into strips 1/4 inch thick and 2 inches long | ||
| Soy sauce | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Green beans | 4 Ounce | |
| Vegetable oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), peeled | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Water | 2 Tablespoon | |
Directions
1. Put the steak slices into a small bowl, add the soy sauce, and toss to mix. Let the steak stand for 10 minutes to marinate. Meanwhile, wash the beans, cut off the ends, and break into 2-inch lengths.
2. Heat the oil in a heavy 8-inch skillet over moderate heat for about 1 minute. Add the garlic and salt, and cook, stirring, for 30 seconds. Do not let the garlic brown. Add the beans to the skillet and cook, stirring, for 3 minutes. Add the water, cover, reduce the heat, and cook for 3 more minutes.
3. Raise the heat to moderately high, cook until the water has boiled away, then add the steak and marinade. Cook, uncovered, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes. The steak should be pink; do not overcook or it will be tough. Serve with rice.
