| 1 pound beef sirloin steak, cut 1/2 inch thick | ||

| Broccoli | 1 pound, frozen | |
| Ground ginger | 1 | |
| Cooking oil | 3 Tablespoon | |
| 2 green onions with tops, thinly sliced (2 tablespoons) | ||

Directions
Partially freeze beef; slice diagonally in 3x1/4 inch strips.
Combine cornstarch, soy sauce, the 2 teaspoons oil, and salt in bowl.
Add beef; toss to coat well.
Slice broccoli lengthwise in thin strips, 3 inches long.
Heat ginger in 3 tablespoons oil in electric wok or skillet at 375°.
Add broccoli and stir-fry 3 to 5 minutes.
Remove from pan.
Add more oil, if necessary, and stir-fry beef till well browned, 5 minutes.
Return broccoli to pan; add 1/2 cup water.
Cook and stir till gravy is thickened and clear.
Garnish with green onion slices.
Serve with hot cooked rice.
