Chinese Beans with Sesame Seeds Recipe
Ingredients
| Green beans | 12 Ounce | |
| Rice-wine vinegar - 3 tablespoons | ||
| Canola oil | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Low-sodium soy sauce - 2 teaspoons | ||
| Honey | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Ginger root | 1 Tablespoon, peeled | |
| Chives | 1 Tablespoon, snipped | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| Pepper red | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Scallions | 4 | |
| Sweet Red or yellow pepper - 1, cut into strips | ||
| Sesame seeds | 3 Tablespoon, toasted | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Keep the beans whole if they are young and small. Otherwise, snap in half or slice lengthwise.
MAKING
2) In a pan boil water and blanch the beans for 2 to 3 minutes.
3) Drain out and rinse under cold water.
4) In a small bowl add vinegar, oil, soy sauce, and honey.
5) Whisk until combined.
6) Add ginger, chives, garlic, and red pepper.
7) Heat a large nonstick frying pan over medium-high heat.
8) Add 1 tablespoon of the dressing and heat.
9) Mix the beans and toss to coat.
10) Cover and cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
11) Spoon into a serving platter.
SERVING
12) Sprinkle scallions and sliced peppers on the top.
13) Drizzle lightly with the dressing.
14) Sprinkle sesame seeds over it.
