Chilli Con Carne Recipe
Ingredients
| Beef | 3 Pound, minced | |
| 2 tablespoons fat or oil | ||
| Onions | 2 Large, chopped | |
| 2 green peppers, cored, seeded and chopped | ||
| 1 x 30 oz can tomatoes | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| black pepper | 1 | |
| Chilli powder | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Vinegar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Sugar | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Tomato Paste | 4 Tablespoon | |
| 2 x 15 oz cans red kidney beans, drained | ||
Directions
Fry the beef in the fat or oil in a saucepan until lightly browned. Add the onions and peppers, if using, and fry for 5 minutes or until soft. Drain off any excess fat. Stir in the tomatoes. Mix together seasoning, the chilli powder, vinegar, sugar and tomato paste and add to the pan. Mix well. Cover and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes. Ten minutes before the cooking time is completed, add the kidney beans.
