1 large avocado, peeled and pitted
1/2 cup half-and-half (half milk, half cream)
1 1/2 cups chicken broth (freshly made, canned, or made from chicken stock concentrate)
Salt
Garlic salt Chopped chives
Commercial sour cream (optional)
Paprika (optional)
Directions
Place avocado pieces in a blender container and blend until smooth.
Add half-and-half and chicken broth, and blend a few seconds.
Then season to taste with salt and garlic salt; chill.
Garnish with chopped chives or, if you wish, top each serving with a spoonful of sour cream and sprinkle lightly with paprika.
