Chili Con Carne Recipe
Chili Con Carne is a delicious side dish recipe which I always love to have. I bet, once you have this, you will always crave for some more.
Ingredients
1/3 cup butter, margarine, or salad oil
6 onions, sliced
3 lbs. lean ground beef
2 cans (6 oz. each) tomato paste
3 cans (16 oz. each) tomatoes
3 cans (16 oz. each) kidney beans
1/2 teaspoon Tabasco
2 to 4 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon salt
2 teaspoons monosodium glutamate
Directions
Heat butter in a large saucepot; add onion and cook until soft.
Add the ground beef and cook over medium heat until lightly browned, breaking into small pieces with a spoon.
Mix in the tomato paste, tomatoes, kidney beans, Tabasco, and a blend of the chili powder, salt, and monosodium glutamate.
Cover and simmer about 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
